Facebook to consider 'Dislike Button'

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerburg shared a video on his personal facebook account where he is seen answering questions during the company's regular Q&A event. One of the raised question was about the "Dislike Button". Mark said that ' the company is thinking about it'.

Fb tops in the battle of social networks because of the psychological impact of ' Like'. This conveys a sense of empathy and care. It decreases the feeling of loneliness while it boosts the mood of the user. In silence, you will feel that you have done something good because people are liking it. Our brain commands to secrete happy cells because somebody understands your feeling. Somebody in your friends list takes your side when you are at war.

Psychologists explain that facebook has unlocked the organic chemicals inside our brain that are associated with pleasurable feeling. These are Dopamine and Oxytocin. The dopes inside facebook.

These neurons are responsible for feelings of empathy as well as for imitative learning. When you see smiling faces, your mirror neurons will have you smiling without even knowing why. Emotions are contagious, and Facebook is a hotbed of positive emotions beckoning us to return for more. So, we do. ( PschologyToday.Com)

How about the 'dislike button'?. How will it affect the social lives of the netizens? Of course, it's the other way around. I am personally not liking the idea because a lot of fb users check their account to seek relief. To see if their comrades are still with them. To be emotionally expressive with their opinions believing that there will be online people who would respect them.

Hitting the positive button is like giving a flower to a friend. That flower speaks thousands of happy words. In a way, facebook helps its users to believe their own capacity to express and inform. You may not be able to please everyone in your status but hitting the 'dislike' button, for me, is brutal.

If you don't like the post, then just ignore it.

Mark Zuckerburg however, acknowledged the bullying effect of the new button that is why they are really weighing things out before launching it.

"I think giving people the power to do that in more ways with more emotions would be powerful, but we need to figure out the right way to do it, that it ends up being a force for good and not a force for bad or demeaning the post that people are putting out there," he said.

A lot of times people share things on Facebook that are sad moments in their lives. And often people tell us that they don't feel comfortable pressing 'like' because it isn't appropriate," he continued.

I hope it won't be launched. Brands and organizations would surely don't LIKE it as well.

Tell me your side in the comment box below! :)
