The Election Game: Truth and Consequence
It is not
yet the campaign period for the next year’s election, but politics has been
making rounds now in persuading the public to get their attention and
eventually make them their minions in
2016.
It is all
natural in a country like the Philippines, where public servants are richer
than the masses- their boss.
It has also
become natural to some filipinos who are easily captured by infomercials, media
mileages, surveys and yes MONEY.
This is the
game we have been playing for years where the masses are always the losers and
the country’s future is dependent on the hands of the best actors, the best
robbers, the best gold diggers, and the best corrupt lawmakers.
Let me call
this , the truth and consequence. The truth is, everyone knows that the leaders
we are voting are corrupt. We know very well our city and provinces are not
really growing. Health, education, employment, and agricultural needs are not
actually meeting the needs of every Juan. Yes at some extent it does, but we
know the truth – WE ARE STILL HUNGRY.
Philippines
is not that poor. We can compete globally. We can always check that in our
economic status based on the present President’s report that accordingly the
economy is growing drastically. The question is, are we seeing and feeling the
growth? Maybe yes, we are seeing how HUGE the amount pocketed by Napoles and
the best robbers who are involved in the list. Billions than can change
millions of Filipinos.
The
consequence of the game on the other hand, the majority is still voting the BEaSTs.
This consequence has become our culture. We are still listening and believing
to the words of those we idolized even if they are in jail or about to be
jailed. I am referring to the Binays, to the Revillas, to the Estradas etc.
They have
been in their seats for many years where they can access the wealth of the country,
but we keep on saving them from the real consequences – to punish them.
Instead, we still glorify their names and the beasts are not afraid anymore
because they have mastered the culture. They still believe that the majority of
the Filipinos are IDIOTS.
I am also
referring to the local governments you are into.
This 2016,
let’s end this game and play another one where the masses have big chance to win.
