Teary-eyed Mayor Rody says God was somewhere else when Yolanda hit

God must have been somewhere else for he forgot that there is his planet earth said Davao City mayor Rody Duterte on a video shared by the City Information Office. A teary-eyed mayor who just came back from Leyte to deliver help to the victims of Yolanda, described that he saw several dead bodies on the street and it seems that God wasn't watching at all.

Mayor suggested that the declaration of the State of Calamity by Pnoy is not enough. He said that the President should declare State of Emergency because there are no local government units functioning in the area. He pointed out that even the law enforcers like the military, policemen and other agencies are also victims. This might be the reason why looting and ambushing relief goods are rampant now in Tacloban City because everyone is hungry.

Duterte described that the people of Leyte are like zombies now Walking on the street to get something to eat. Above the sky, on his private helicopter, Duterte was able to see the city. Devastated. Helpless. Mayor urges other provinces who were spared by Yolanda to extend help because what he gave are just enough for 3-4 days consumption.

The father of Davao City plans to deploy volunteers to Leyte who can handle dead bodies for retrieval operation. Davao City needs to help. "We have to help" stressed Mayor.

With all these scenarios, the mayor knows already what to do if a typhoon will hit Davao City. He said that he will be forcibly dragging stubborn people who would refuse to be evacuated to safer area.

While other countries pledge to send help, I think every filipino who earns more than enough should extend his hand to help. Millions of people were homeless and hungry now in the city that was once a bountiful place.

Duterte shared that 95% of the city was destroyed by the super typhoon .

"There is no Tacloban City right now!" said Duterte as he closed the conversation.
